After a long period of creating curiosity with a dramatic storyline featuring the famous quartet: Phương Anh Đào – Lãnh Thanh – Miu Lê – Karik. The official screening information has been confirmed starting from November 24th.
On the evening of November 14th, the Vietnamese film, belonging to the psychological-thriller genre and the first investment by the Korean KBS Television Network, was officially introduced with the participation of over 1,000 guests and famous artists.
Under the direction of director Thắng Vũ, ‘Chiếm Đoạt’ gathers a star-studded cast including Miu Lê, Phương Anh Đào, Lãnh Thanh, Phương Thanh, Trọng Hải, along with newcomers like singer Karik and Miss Lương Thuỳ Linh. The film premiered on November 24, 2023, with special early screenings from 7:00 PM on November 17, and throughout November 18, 19, and 20.
Making a screen comeback after 4 years, Miu Lê stood out on the red carpet with a charming style. In this return, Miu Lê impressed audiences right from the introduction of ‘Chiếm Đoạt.’ The singer-actress successfully broke away from her sweet and innocent “summer muse” image, portraying Thảo My with intelligence, sophistication, and complex inner emotions hidden beneath an outwardly innocent appearance.
During the film’s premiere press conference, Miu Lê mentioned taking about two weeks to consider and decide to accept the role: “Before accepting this project, I had many doubts: Do I fit the events in the film? I think for a new step in my career, I need to do something truly breakthrough. But I also want that breakthrough to have as little ‘risk’ as possible.”
Phương Anh Đào maintained an elegant yet sophisticated demeanor both on and off the screen. The actress drew attention with her sleek black outfit, hugging her body and showcasing alluring curves. In ‘Chiếm Đoạt,’ Phương Anh Đào appeared with short hair, not hesitating to portray entirely different aspects from her previous projects. Sizzling, strong, and bold – Phương Anh Đào’s portrayal left a lasting impression on the audience.
Talking about her bold and fresh changes in her comeback with ‘Chiếm Đoạt,’ Phương Anh Đào said: “I think it’s time for me to step out of my comfort zone more and make a strong breakthrough for my career. I want to explore many images, ready to try many bold things in films.”
The attention-grabbing duo Karik and Lãnh Thanh stood out with their handsome and classy appearance on the red carpet. While the term “antagonist” has been associated with Lãnh Thanh, he always knows how to create a difference. In ‘Chiếm Đoạt,’ Sơn, Lãnh Thanh’s character, is portrayed with various emotions and complex psychological changes. In addition, the actor has intense and bold interactions with both beauties – Phương Anh Đào and Miu Lê.
Being close friends with Karik on the big screen, both brought unexpected twists and relentless confrontations. “The actors I have the most memories with are not only Miu Lê but also Lãnh Thanh. Because this is a film with many action scenes, Karik’s most ‘physical’ impact,” shared the rapper Người lạ ơi.
The rapper appeared in a simple yet elegant outfit, walking alongside co-star Miu Lê. ‘Chiếm Đoạt’ marks the big-screen debut of the multi-talented queen – Lương Thùy Linh. Appearing on the red carpet of ‘Chiếm Đoạt,’ Lương Thuỳ Linh shone with her elegant and noble aura. “In this first role, I think I have learned a lot, especially from the experienced seniors. One thing I treasure more than anything is having a ‘mentor’ – ‘mentor’ Phương Thanh and the older brothers and sisters. In the suspenseful psychological genre, ‘Chiếm Đoạt’ tells the story of My (Miu Lê), a recent graduate who wants to become a nanny for the upper-class couple Sơn (Lãnh Thanh) and Hà (Phương Anh Đào). Despite her seemingly pure appearance, My secretly plots to destroy the happiness of Sơn and Hà, unraveling a series of dark secrets and hidden corners in the upper-class society.”
